DPT clinical education is the second pillar of knowledge and skill acquisition supporting the DPT degree.
During each of four full-time clinical experiences, students are expected to apply skills learned in the classroom to real patients in a real clinic setting under the supervision of a licensed PT clinical instructor. By the end of the 30 total weeks of full-time clinical experiences, it is expected that the student is able to exhibit entry-level clinical performance in any general practice setting. All four clinical education affiliations provide a complete and well-rounded educational experience.

Our Clinical Partners
Our Clinical Education Program would not be possible without the participation and support of excellent clinical site partners both within Indiana and across the United States. We do offer various benefits for sites and PT clinical instructors willing to provide our students with excellent learning experiences on site. We have opportunities for local clinicians to participate as clinical faculty in our Integrated Clinical Education (ICE) program one afternoon a week during the spring and fall semesters, as well as a need for clinicians across the region and the country to serve as clinical instructors during full time internships in the spring and summer.
