Admissions Requirements

In order to be accepted into our Bachelor of Science in Health Sciences  degree program, you must complete the admission requirements established for IUPUI, the School of Health and Rehabilitation Sciences, and when applicable, the Office of International Affairs.

IUPUI’s minimum admission requirements are determined by your student status.

  • Think you might qualify as a new freshman direct admit?

    The School of Health and Rehabilitation Sciences has set the minimum admission requirements for new freshmen direct admits as follows:

    • Must have earned an Indiana Academic Honors Diploma (or equivalent)

    Or

    • Must have earned a Core 40 Diploma with
      • minimum 3.0 cumulative high school GPA; and
      • A combined SAT score of 1000 or better; or
      • An ACT score of 21 or better
  • Are you a current IUPUI student?

    If you are a current IUPUI student interested changing your major to our BS in Health Sciences, please contact our Health Sciences Academic Advisor for additional information or to schedule a counseling appointment.

    • Must have 12 IU credits
    • Minimum 2.5 cumulative GPA
  • Are you a transfer student?

    • Must have 12 undergraduate credits
    • Minimum 2.5 cumulative GPA
  • Are you an Ivy Tech student/graduate?

    Our BS in Health Sciences degree program has an articulation agreement with Ivy Tech Community College. We accept several of the Ivy Tech Associate degrees for transfer direct admit to our BS in Health Sciences degree program.

    As an Ivy Tech student or graduate, you are required to meet the Office of Undergraduate Admissions admission requirements for transfer students.

    Once you are admitted into the University, you:

    • Must have 12 undergraduate credits
    • Minimum 2.5 cumulative GPA
